Police have recovered the floating body of a youth named Md. Mizan (22) from a canal adjacent to Sugandha River in Jhalakathi. His body was recovered from the College Kheyaghat area of ​​the city on Monday (April 28) morning.
The permanent address of the deceased Mizan is Dhunia Tulatli village of Bhola Sadar upazila. He used to live in a rented house in the Quaid Bakery in the Purba Chandkathi area of ​​Jhalakathi city. His father’s name is Jahangir and mother’s name is Rabeya.
The deceased’s elder brother Raju said that Mizan asked his family for some money on Sunday night. Later, when he was given 500 taka, he was not satisfied and left the house in a haughty manner and did not return. In the morning, a local person informed me and I went to the spot and identified my brother’s body.
According to police and local sources, the locals informed the police station after seeing a body floating in the canal water in the morning. Later, the police recovered the body and sent it to the morgue of Jhalakathi Sadar Hospital for autopsy. The deceased had injury marks on various parts of his body. It is initially believed that it could be a murder.
Jhalakathi Sadar Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Asadul Al Ghalib said that a case of unnatural death will be registered in this incident and legal action is under process.
