Youth, junior handball team leave for India

Bangladesh youth and junior handball teams left here for India today (Tuesday) to participate in the IHF Men’s Trophy 2024 Zone 11 (Asia) which will begin tomorrow (Wednesday) in Jaipur, India.

A total of eight teams – youth and junior category teams from four participating countries — will take part in the five-day meet, organised by International Handball Federation. The participating countries are Maldives, Nepal, Bangladesh and host India.

Both the Bangladesh youth and junior handball teams will face host India tomorrow (Wednesday) in their respective tournament opening matches.

Bangladesh U-18 youth team – Md Farshid Khan(captain), Taufiqur Rahman(vice captain), Sheikh Anas Ahnaf, Md Atik Hosen Akash, Md Sohag Ali, Rizwan Bin Faruque Annan, Md Anik Islam, Md Fahim Faisal Mahir, Md Ebadt Hosen Rasel, Ripon Ahamed Rahad, Syed Aayan Subhan and Md Ratul Uddin.

Bangladesh U-20 youth team – Rubel Ahmed (captain), Rifat Hossain Faisal (vice captain), Fantasir Abdullah Khan, Siam Ahmed, Md Nayon Ahammed, Md Shariar Alam Anas, Arickson Biswas Dip, Md Ashikur Rahman Fahim, Md Ratul Hasan, Al Muktadir Mahin, Md Mohayminul Haque, Md Sharia Nafiz, Ahnaf Wali Noor and Mehedi Hasan Raju.
