Patuakhali has an active force of Kishore gangs, common people are in fear. On Sunday (August 6) around 7:30 pm, a gang of teenagers tried to kill a class 10 student by slitting his throat with a sharp knife.
The incident took place in Chitka Rajapur village of Kalishuri union of the upazila. The name of the injured student is Md. Rifat Matubbar (15). He is the son of Shah Alam Matbar, a resident of that union.
It is known that on the way from the injured student’s home to the Mataba market, the unidentified youth gang terrorists tried to slaughter the student Rifat by cutting a knife on the east side of the market. Locals rescued the injured student and brought him to Bauphal Upazila Health Complex around 8:30 pm. The doctor in charge of the hospital saw his condition as critical and sent him to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital in Barisal after giving first aid.
In this regard, Bauphal police station investigation OC Md. Mizanur Rahman said, I went to the spot after hearing about the incident. And found out that this happened from the start of a hostilities from the east with the injured Rifat Matubbar. However, so far no killer has been arrested, efforts are underway to arrest them
