World Handwashing Day was celebrated in Joypurhat with the theme ‘Clean hands are always important for health protection’. On the occasion of the day, a rally was taken out from the District Commissioner’s office at 11:30 am. The rally circled the various roads of the city and ended there again. After that, Additional Deputy Commissioner Vipul Kumar inaugurated the hand washing day.
Meanwhile, District Public Health Engineering Directorate Executive Engineer Umm Roman Khan Johnny and Jaipurhat General Hospital Supervisor Sardar Rashed Mubarak Jewel and others were present.
