World Habitat Day was celebrated in Tangail with various programs keeping in mind the theme of stable city, sustainable city as the driving force for economic growth and recovery. On this occasion, in line with the world, a rally was held in front of the office of the Deputy Commissioner on Monday (October 2) morning. The rally paraded the various roads of the city. Earlier, a discussion meeting was held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner on the initiative of Tangail Public Works Department. The discussion meeting was presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner Md. Oliuzzaman. Md. Shahidul Islam, Executive Engineer of Tangail Public Works, Sub-Divisional Engineer Majedur Rahman, Mahfizur Rahman, Assistant Engineer Babu Kumar Biswas and others spoke. Md. Shahidul Islam, Executive Engineer of Tangail Public Works Department was the main discussant in the discussion meeting.
