A seven-member World Bank delegation visited the Rohingya camp in Ukhia. On Tuesday (April 22), the team visited Extension 20 of Rohingya Camp in Ukhia at around 10 am. Later, they visited the ‘Integrated Infectious Diseases and Medical Center’ of the camp. During this, an official of the International Organization for Migration briefed the delegation about the medical activities of the institution. During this, they listened to the Rohingyas who came to receive services and observed various sectors of the institution. On the same day, around 11 am, the delegation visited the ‘Rohingya Cultural Memorial Center’ run by the International Organization for Migration in Block E/L-17 of Camp-18. During this, Rohingya artists played tarana and presented their culture through songs.
The delegation included World Bank Operations Officer Rafi Hossain, Social Development Specialist Sabah Moin, Senior Health Specialist Gyorgy Bella Fritsche, Social Development Specialist Mrs. Jayati Sethi, Social Development Extended Term Consultant Sabina Parveen, Consultants Mohammad Abdus Sabur and Tanzina Rahman.
