A workshop on Performance Based Grants for Secondary Institutions Scheme was held at Barura, Comilla. It was organized by the Upazila Secondary Education Office at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium from 10 am on Tuesday. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sabrina Afrin Mustafa presided over the function as chief guest at the function. Upazila Parishad Chairman ANM Mainul Islam. Barura Municipality Mayor Md. Baktar Hossain Bakhtiar, Barura Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Md. Kamal Hossain, Barura Haji Nawab Ali Pilot High School Management Committee President Md. Nashir Uddin Lincoln, Jhlam High School and College Management Committee President Md. Abdus Samad welcomed the event. Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md Saiful Islam spoke, Deora Secondary School Management Committee President Md Nur Uddin Khandkar Swapan, Kematli Technical High School Management Committee President Md Aktaruzzaman Babu, Barura Sunni Kamil Madrasah Principal Mufti Ali Akbar Faruqi, Boyalia Batenia Fazil were present. Madrasah Principal Maulana Mohammad Yunus Wazedi, Rajamara Alim Madrasa Principal Maulana Md Mofizul Islam, Chalnatali Darus Sunnah Alim Madrasah Maulana Mohammad Abul Kasem, Khoshbas High School and College Principal Md Shah Alam, Barura Haji Nawab Pilot Ali High School Principal Md Medhad Uddin, Md. Kamruzzaman Biplab, Principal of Payalgachch Girls Technical High School. Meanwhile, the guests said that under the leadership of the current Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the education system of Bangladesh is being promoted, providing stipends and education allowances to the students of every educational institution across the country. Special emphasis is placed on protecting students from addiction to mobile phones, including prevention of drug child marriage and evictions. In addition, Upazila Executive Officer Sabrina Afrin Mustafa said that Barura upazila sought the cooperation of all schools, colleges and madrasa authorities to prevent fraud and counterfeiting.
