With the theme – Decorate the country with trees, enrich Bangladesh”, the week-long tree plantation campaign and tree fair 2024 was inaugurated in Patuakhali. On Thursday (22nd August) at 10 am in collaboration with the district administration and organized by Coastal Forest Department Patuakhali, circuit house premises. A colorful rally came out and circled various roads and blew balloons at Shaheed Minar and inaugurated the week-long tree planting campaign and tree fair. Noor Qutubul Alam. From 22 August to next 28 August, 10 am to 8 pm, 30 stalls from different upazilas including the district will be displayed and sold at cheap prices by the nursery owners at the tree fair. Apart from this, drawing, writing, quiz, tree identification competitions have also been organized on the occasion of week-long tree planting campaign and tree fair, said the forest department official.
