A preparation meeting was held by the upazila administration on the occasion of autumn Durga Puja celebration in Barura of Comilla. Comilla District Awami League Vice President and Upazila Awami League President Nachimul Alam Chowdhury Nazrul (MP) was the chief guest in the preparation meeting at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium on Friday 6th October at 4 pm under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer Sabrina Afrin Mustafa. Barura Municipality Mayor Md. Baktar Hossain Bakhtiar, General Secretary of Upazila Awami League Md. Nashir Uddin Lincoln, Barura Upazila Assistant Commissioner Lands Md. Moin Uddin were the special guests. Barura Thana Officer Incharge Md. Firoz Hossain, President of Bangladesh Puja Udjan Parishad Barura Upazila Committee spoke on the occasion. Dr. Tapan Bhowmik, General Secretary Master Tapan Krishna Banik, Islamic Foundation Barura Upazila Field Supervisor Md. Monirul Islam, Upazila Ansar VDP Officer Nachima Akhter, Barura Municipality Awami League Organizing Secretary Md. Akhtar Hossain, Upazila Assistant Youth Development Officer Md. Elias Mia were present. , Upazila Assistant Agriculture Officer Mohammad Ali. In the meeting, directions were given for the cooperation of everyone in the celebration of the main religious festival of Sanatan religions together with the upazila administration, along with the upazila administration, with the joint initiative of the voluntary volunteer Ain Ansar Bahini police administration to celebrate the autumn Durga festival peacefully in the 94 puja mandapams of Barura upazila and with round-the-clock monitoring through CCTV cameras.
