Two youths have been sentenced to 7 days imprisonment in a mobile court in Comilla’s Barura.
On Wednesday 7th February noon sitting behind the office premises at Upazila Land Office, Barura while consuming ganja 1) Rana Ravi Das, Father Ranjit Das, Sang- Ravidas Para, Ward No. 3, Barura, Comilla and 2) Palash, Father: Nirmal Ravi Das, Sang. – Robidas Para, Ward No. 3, Barura Municipality was arrested. Md. Moin Uddin, Assistant Commissioner of Lands and Executive Magistrate took cognizance of the offense under Section 36(5) of the Narcotics Control Act, 2018. As the offenders have confessed to the crime, Section 36(5) of the Narcotics Control Act, 2018 has sentenced each person to imprisonment for 07 (seven) days without work and a fine of 200 taka.
