Two school students died in a motorcycle accident in Nazirpur

Motorcycle accident in Nazirpur upazila of Pirojpur. Two school students named Swadhin Sheikh (16) and Rahmat Sheikh (15) have died. At that time, another student, Tanjim Sheikh, who was on the motorcycle, was seriously injured.
The incident took place at Baribunia village of Upazila Matibhanga Union on Thursday (08 February) around 9:30 am. The deceased were students of class 10 of the local Baribunia Secondary School.
The school head teacher Shubhrat Roy said that the annual sports program of the school is going on. But around 9:30 in the morning, 3 classmates of that school, Swadhin Sheikh, Rahmat Sheikh and Tanjim Sheikh, 10th class students, were going towards Matibhanga on a motorcycle. At that time, Swadhan and Rahmat died there after hitting the electric pole in front of Shaheed Mullah’s house in Baribuniya. And seriously injured Tanzim Sheikh was rescued and sent to Gopalganj Medical College Hospital.
Locals said that the accident took place when the 3 classmates on a motorcycle and another friend on another motorcycle were driving towards Matibhanga.
The deceased is the son of Dalim Sheikh of Hogla Bunia village of Matibhanga union of Swadhin Sheikh upazila. And Rahmat Sheikh is the son of Mukul Sheikh of North East Baniyari village of the same union. Besides, the injured Tanjim Sheikh is the son of Shahidul Sheikh of Tarabunia village of the same union.
Dr. Zeenat Tasnim, the doctor on duty at the Upazila Health Complex, said that Rahmat Sheikh was brought to the hospital in a dying condition.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Nazirpur police station. Shah Alam Howladar said that the students were injured and killed when they hit an electric pole while going towards Matibhanga on a motorcycle. One of the deceased is in the hospital and the other is there. Police have been dispatched to the scene.
