Two arrested with cannabis in DB operation in Rajapur

On August 12, raids were conducted and they were arrested from different places in the upazila.  Saturday at 4:50 pm based on a tip-off, DB Police Inspector (Unarmed) Mehdi Hasan along with the accompanying force. Md. Jasim Kazi (44) of Barakaivartyakhali (cooperative) area of Rajapur Sadar was arrested from his house with 100 grams of ganja. The arrested Jasim Kazi is the son of the deceased Oli Ahmed of the cooperative area. On the other hand, on Saturday night at 10:30 pm based on secret information, the Sangeet was led by SI Suvarna Chandra Dey of DB. Md. Alamgir Hossain Howladar (53) was arrested along with 100 grams of ganja from the paved road of Mira Bari in Bypass Mor area of Rajapur Sadar. The arrested Alamgir Hossain is the son of deceased Sekendar Ali Howladar of East Rajapur area. There are 9 drug cases against him. Officer-in-Charge of District Intelligence Branch Md. Moniruzzaman said that under the direction of Superintendent of Police Mohammad Afruzul Haque Tutul, the District Intelligence Branch (DB) is constantly conducting anti-narcotics operations to keep Jhalkathi district drug-free. In continuation of this, two drugs were raided in Rajapur on August 12 The businessman was arrested with marijuana. The anti-drug campaign will continue in the future. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rajapur Police Station, Pulak Chandra Roy, said that on Saturday, the DB Police arrested two people with 200 grams of ganja. The DB Police has filed two separate cases under the Narcotics Control Act (Case No. 2 and 3) at Rajapur Police Station against the arrested persons.
