In a joint operation of Rajbari District Intelligence Branch (DB) and Baliakandi police station, two accused of banditry case named Sagar Molla (22) and Shahidul Islam alias Sohail (38) were arrested and domestic weapons used in banditry and a stolen auto Bike were recovered. Through the use of information technology, they were arrested from the West Bhawanipur area under Rajbari Sadar police station on 23rd November (Thursday) at 4 am. At this time, sharp knives, chopsticks, hand saws, mobile phones and looted easy bikes were recovered from them. The arrested Sagar Molla is the son of Mintu Molla of West Bhabanipur of Rajbari Sadar Police Station and Shahidul Islam is the son of Moniruddin Biswas alias Monir of the same area. FIR No. 8 dated November 14 of Baliakandi police station of Rajbari and accused in the case of robbery under Section 341/394 of 1860 Penal Code and No. 214 GR case.
Rajbari Superintendent of Police GM Abul Kalam Azad confirmed the matter in a press briefing with local journalists at Rajbari district police office on 23rd November (Thursday).
He said that in the joint operation of Rajbari District Intelligence Branch (DB) and Baliakandi police station, two accused in the robbery case along with domestic weapons used in robbery and a stolen Eazbike were recovered. At various times, they drop passengers on easybikes from various railway stations or bus stations to their destination and with their help inform their associates about the location of the passengers through mobile phones and loot the valuable indigenous weapons from the passengers by intimidating them.
