Tributes and discussion meetings were held to mark Martyred Intellectuals Day and Joypurhat Thanadar Liberation Day.
Deputy Commissioner Afroza Akhter Chowdhury spoke as the chief guest at the discussion meeting at the Karai Kadipur slaughterhouse in Joypurhat Sadar Upazila on Saturday (December 14) at 10:30 am.
Police Superintendent Mohammad Abdul Wahab, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohiuddin Jahangir, District BNP Convener Golzar Hossain, Senior Joint Convener Masud Rana Pradhan and many others also spoke at the event.
Before the discussion meeting, tributes were paid by the Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police and various political and cultural organizations.
