 Additional DIG of Tourist Police (Khulna and Barisal Division) Bidhan Tripura, PPM Bar, said that after the inauguration of Padma Bridge, the number of tourists is increasing day by day at Kuakata beach. The Tourist Police is working tirelessly to keep the tourist spots safe to attract local and foreign tourists. The tourist police is becoming known to all as a tourist friendly police while maintaining professionalism in serving the tourists. The purpose of this training is to increase the professional skills of tourist police members. He said these things at the opening ceremony of the training workshop titled “Tourist Police Capacity Building in Tourist Destination Protection and Tourist Security” in Kuakata. The Additional DIG said that knowing the local problems and challenges will make themselves an efficient member to face those challenges. The members of the Tourist Police will act as an ambassador, a guide and take the quality of service to the highest level. He said, Hon’ble Prime Minister himself formed the Tourist Police. We are working relentlessly as per the instructions of the Prime Minister. He also said that the tourism sector is contributing a lot to the economy in South Asian countries. In Bangladesh, the tourism sector will contribute much more to the economy, including GDP, the day is not far away. Therefore, this police officer called upon everyone to promote the tourism industry by cooperating with the tourist police.

Tourist Police Kuakata Region Additional Superintendent of Police Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad spoke as special guests in the workshop, Kuakata Municipal Mayor Md. Anwar Howladar, Kuakata Press Club President Nasir Uddin Biplab, Tourist Police Kuakata Zone Incharge Abu Hasnain Parvez spoke as special guests. Kuakata Television Journalist Forum President Anwar Hossain Anu, General Secretary Md Monirul Islam and other media workers were present among others. In the speech of the special guest, the Mayor of Kuakata Municipality Anwar Howladar said that the Tourist Police is working tirelessly day and night for the overall safety of the tourists coming to the Kuakata beach. Tourists today can travel to Kuakata in an undisturbed, beautiful environment because of the presence of the Tourist Police. This training will increase the capacity of the tourist police in the tourist area. President of Kuakata Press Club Nasir Uddin Biplab said that the tourist police in Kuakata is currently providing the desired services to tourists and visitors by maintaining professionalism with great sincerity. This training will contribute significantly to increasing the sincerity of the tourist police with the incoming tourists including women and children. The Tourist Police is responsible for orderliness in the tourism sector. 20 trainees participated in the training course.
