Three youths of Barura’s Shakpur arrested on charges of gang rape

 Allegations of gang-rape by neighbors in Comilla’s Barura. Police have arrested three youths in this incident. The accused are residents of Shakpur Union. Comilla District Police Superintendent Abdul Mannan gave this information in a press conference at his office on Thursday (April 27) at noon. In this regard, Superintendent of Police Abdul Mannan said that a young woman (19) met Rafi (21) of Shakpur village in Barura on Facebook. They are two garment workers. After introduction, love relationship is formed. On the night of April 25, the girl came to the son’s house. At 10:30 p.m., Rafi’s mother threw the girl out of the house. CNG driven auto rickshaws stopped in front of Shakpur engineer gate. Taking the victim to the garden house, three youths took turns gang-raping her till 12 midnight. That night the victim complained to the Barura police station. Within 24 hours of the complaint, the accused were arrested on the tip of the CNG auto rickshaw driver. The accused are Rubel (27), Shamim (23) and Zakir (35). They said that Rafi, the victim’s boyfriend, was involved in the rape incident. All of them are residents of Shakpur Union. neighbors of each other. The investigation of this case is ongoing. There are three cases in the name of accused Rubel, one in the name of Shamim and three in the name of Zakir. Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) Khandaker Ashfakuzzaman, Barura Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Feroz Hossain and other officials were present in the press conference.
