Three business owners have been fined in a raid by the Consumer Rights Protection Department in Rajbari.

At that time, three company owners were fined a total of 4,500 taka under various sections of the Consumer Rights Protection Act.

On 12th October (Saturday) under the leadership of Rajbari Consumer Rights Protection Department Assistant Director Kazi Rakibul Hasan, three business owners were fined administratively after inspecting various markets in Rajbari city.

1,000 taka under Section 38 of the Consumer Rights Protection Act, 2009 for the offense of not displaying and preserving the price list of the products, to the owner of Zillu Krishi Bhandar located in Rajbari Gur Bazar for the offense of storing and displaying expired products for the purpose of sale Consumer Rights Protection Act, 51 of 2009 2 thousand taka in section and the owner of Anwar Traders located in the same market was fined 15 hundred taka in section 51 of the Consumer Rights Protection Act, 2009 for the crime of storing and displaying expired products for the purpose of sale.

Rajbari Consumer Rights Protection Department Assistant Director Kazi Rakibul Hasan said that all concerned are warned not to sell expired products and unauthorized and illegal products and awareness leaflets and pamphlets are distributed among the public. He also said that this campaign will continue in public interest.
A team of Food Safety Department, Bazar Vanik Samiti, Sanitary Inspector and Police Lines assisted in the operation.
