The mobile court imposed a financial penalty of Tk 15 lakh on the owners of three brick kilns in Tangail’s Mirzapur for not having permission from the Department of Environment. The operation was conducted under the leadership of District Administration Executive Magistrate Nazia Hossain and Jannatul Naeem Binte Aziz on Monday.
At that time, Deputy Director of District Environment Department Zamir Uddin along with police and fire service members were present.
Zamir Uddin said that due to lack of permission from the Department of Environment, Messrs. Asha Bricks & Co. and Messrs. Nurjahan Bricks of Syedpur area of ​​Mirzapur were fined six lakh taka and Messrs. Hakim Enterprise of Ranashal area were fined three lakh taka. Instructions have been issued to the owners for the operation of the brick kilns as per the Brick Manufacturing and Kiln Establishment (Regulation) Act, 2013 (Amended)-2019
