Haji Abdul Matin Bhuiyan, the younger son of the deceased Lutfar Rahman Bhuiyan, a permanent resident of Fateh Pur area of ​​​​Din No. 5 Dakshin Chandipur Union under Ramganj Upazila of Lakshmipur, has been a victim of torture at the hands of his own brother and his brother’s sons for a long time. After investigation, it was found that Kamal Hossain Bhuiyan (42), son of the deceased Abdul Rashid Bhuiyan, Mahbubur Rahman Titu (40), son of Habibur Rahman Bhuiyan, Shahajahan Bhuiyan (42), son of the deceased Ali Ahmed Bhuiyan, along with local neighbors of the area, Faruk Hossain Member (42), son of the deceased Habib Ulya, Billal, son of the deceased Ishaq Patwari, and 7/8 others have been threatening to kill Abdul Matin Bhuiyan and hide his body by demanding a ransom of 25 lakh taka from his own brother and brother’s son. The relatives of the victim Abdul Matin Bhuiyan family have made such allegations against the extortionists.
Abdul Matin Bhuiyan is a simple and innocent person who respects the law. On the other hand, the second party is a mob, a bully, a bully, a stick-wielder, a rioter, a litigant, a greedy person for others’ wealth, and an extortionist terrorist. They do not care about the laws and regulations of the country or the arbitration court. They do whatever they want with the power of their mouths. The threat giver, Mahbubur Rahman Titu Bhuiyan, has been demanding 25 lakh taka from the victim Abdul Matin at different times by inciting the local political party. The victim Abdul Matin, in response to a question from journalists, said, “I have built my own house in Raja Bazar, adjacent to Square Hospital on the Dhaka Pant road, and have been living with my family.” He further said, I come to my village house after a few years. At that opportunity, due to the change of government in the student movement, Kamal Hossain Bhuiyan and Mahbubur Rahman Titu Bhuiyan started to behave indecently and loot innocent people of the society like giant monsters. Due to their behavior, no one in the society opens their mouths to the law against them. Although, if two or three witnesses give evidence, they try to harm them in various ways by filing assault cases against them and threatening to kill them in the dark of night. The victim, Abdul Matin, was arrested a few days ago in his own village in Dakshin Chandipur of Ramganj police station, demanding a ransom of 25 lakh taka. And he was arrested and kept in a dark abandoned house for a long time. The incident of arrest and torture came to the attention of unknown neighbors. When the neighbor saw the scene of the altercation, he immediately called 3FolN9 and informed the police. After receiving the call on 3FolN9, Ramganj Police Station Police Helal Uddin went to the scene and rescued him. Since the incident, the relatives of the victim Abdul Matin Bhuiyan’s family have been in fear. The tree cutting case filed against the victim Abdul Matin Bhuiyan is completely false and fabricated.
Last Friday morning, the victim, led by his cousin and neighbor Joynal, again demanded a ransom of 25 lakh taka. At one stage, when the ransom of 25 lakh taka was not received, they tried to arrest him again and threatened to beat him up. They did not give up even after repeating the same incident. The fourth threat occurred in front of the victim’s abandoned old house. Jasmine and Sajib, led by the mother of the accused perpetrator Mahbubur Rahman Titu Bhuiyan, have been constantly threatening to beat him up. Not only that, the victim Abdul Matin Bhuiyan will have to pay a ransom of 25 lakh taka to live in the area. Since none of the accused extortionists were found in the complaints received from the victims and local residents, it was not possible to know whether the allegations made by the neighbors and victims are true. However, neighbors of the area told reporters that it is absolutely necessary and urgent to bring all the instigators involved in the incident, including Mahbubur Rahman Titu Bhuiyan, Kamal Hossain Bhuiyan, Shahajan Bhuiyan, neighbor Faruk Joynal, to justice by bringing them under the law. Relatives and neighbors of the victim’s family have commented that it is absolutely necessary and urgent to bring the detainees under the law.
