The name of S M Rezaul Karim is coming up in the discussion of voters. This constituency consists of Pirojpur Sadar, Nazirpur and Indurkani upazilas.

In the 11th national election, Pirojpur-1 constituency had Pirojpur and Nazirpur upazilas along with Nesharabad (Swarupkathi) upazila. Indurkani Upazila was with Pirojpur-2 Constituency. This time the seat has been rearranged. In this election, Awami League has nominated current MP and Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim for this seat.

In the 11th National Parliament election, he was given party nomination of Awami League for Pirojpur-1 seat for the first time. After being elected as an MP, he was first given the responsibility of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works and later the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock.

The reporter visited different areas of this constituency and talked to the voters on the ground. They said that in the last 5 years as MP and Minister, S M Rezaul Karim has done extensive development work including the establishment of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University in Pirojpur, the construction of schools and colleges along with the establishment of economic zone, national grid line of electricity, construction of roads and culverts and bridges in three upazilas of the constituency. worked Along with development, he stopped irregularities-corruption, tendering, extortion, recruitment trade, bribery trade. Ensured work accountability. Made balanced distribution of government allocation. And because of these reasons, in the upcoming 12th National Parliament election, we have the trust of the voters, and we are resolute in the trust of the voters.

Sixty-four-year-old retired school teacher Anwar Hossain said that once there were many MP-ministers in Pirojpur. But despite everyone making big promises, the fate of the people of this neglected region has not changed. However, SM Rezaul Karim has made a lot of progress as an MP-minister for the first time. Among which the most talked about is ‘Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib University of Science and Technology, Pirojpur’ which the people of Pirojpur never dreamed of. S. M. Rezaul Karim has really changed the scenario through incredible development. The progress he has made in the last 5 years I have not seen in my 60s.

Human rights activist Parveen Akhtar said that earlier the people of this region could not sleep peacefully. After S M Rezaul Karim became MP, there is no terrorism, extortion in the area, I can live safely. So I will vote for the boat again.

Rural doctor Amrit Lal Mondal said that in 2011 there was a terrible riot in Penakhali of Nazirpur. Hundreds of houses were burnt. 2 people were killed in that incident. Besides, there was an incident of encroachment of the houses of 20 Hindu families in Shankharikathi. Both incidents were discussed nationwide. Which people still haven’t forgotten. Those two incidents made headlines not only in the national media but also in the international media. After S M Rezaul Karim became MP, such incidents did not repeat in Pirojpur. He has set precedents in maintaining communal recently. Moreover, we are satisfied with his development, again we want him.

Rashid Mia, a 50-year-old social worker, said, “At one time, there was nothing to say about development.” No one dared to build a paved house for the road. After Rezaul Sahib became MP, along with the development of roads, people’s lifestyle has also changed. By living in the village we get the facilities of the city.

He also said, “We never dreamed that there would be so much paved road or so much development in our Colorado Union.” But after S M Rezaul Karim became MP, we became hopeful. This is where he differs from other candidates. Because he is fulfilling all the things that the people of the area think about.

The candidate for the boat, Fisheries and Livestock Minister S M Rezaul Karim said, “Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has nominated me for the boat. He nominated the most popular man in the area by conducting a survey. The Prime Minister has already said that no one will be nominated based on their appearance. Nominations will be given based on popularity. I can say for sure, the leader handed over the boat to me because he got the proof of my popularity. We are choosing for the development of people. People will vote by boat after seeing the work done in my constituency in the past days.

S M Rezaul Karim said to the voters, “We want peace. I want the development of the country. I want to make the country a strong economic state. Seeing this development, you will win by voting on the boat brand. We want competitive and participatory elections. For the last 15 years, the people of the country have trusted the boat. I hope to have confidence in the future as well.
