The government of Saudi Arabia has announced the date of the holy Eid-ul-Azha. The country’s Supreme Court said on Thursday that Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated in the country on June 16.
According to the Supreme Court, the moon of the holy month of Zilhaj was seen in the sky of Saudi Arabia on Thursday. Next Friday is the first day of the holy month of Zilhaj. Accordingly, Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated on June 16.
 The Day of Arafah, which marks the day before Eid and is known as the holiest day in Islam, falls on Saturday, June 15 (9 Zilhaj).
 Note that the holy Eid-ul-Azha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is marked by special prayers. Muslims usually slaughter goats, sheep, goats, cows, camels to commemorate the test of faith of Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S.).
