The Great Victory Day is being celebrated with due dignity in various events in Joypurhat. The Victory Day celebrations started with 31 gunfires at sunrise at Martyr Dr. Abul Kashem Maidan in the city.
After that, Deputy Commissioner Afroza Akhtar Chowdhury, Superintendent of Police Muhammad Abdul Wahab, District BNP convener Golzar Hossain, former district freedom fighter commander Amjad Hossain and various government offices, social, political and cultural organizations paid their respects at the central memorial.
