Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina urged the countrymen to stand against those who are destroying the development that the government is doing to ease the suffering of the countrymen. He said these things while visiting the Mirpur-10 metro rail station which was damaged during the quota movement on Thursday (July 25) morning.

The Prime Minister said that the countrymen should stand against those who are destroying the development of the government. Those who have committed this violence must be judged by the countrymen. It will be ensured that the general public can reach the workplace without any problem. Efforts will be made to make the country financially prosperous. It cannot be failed that this country has been freed by people’s blood.

He also said that it is a kind of mentality to destroy the structures that make people’s lives easier. Although Dhaka city is stuck in traffic jam, metro rail has given relief. I can’t accept that it was destroyed like this.

It is to be noted that the Mirpur-10 station of Metrorail suffered heavy damage due to the violence caused during the quota movement on July 18. Besides the metro station, the overpass of Mirpur-10 roundabout and the police box there also caught fire. An eight-member technical committee has been formed in connection with the vandalism of the station. They will report within 10 working days.
