Traffic on the capital’s roads increased yesterday compared to Tuesday. Heavy traffic was seen in Dhanmondi, Kalabagan, Mirpur Road, Vijay Sarani, Farmgate, Karwan Bazar areas from morning to noon on Wednesday.
Although the number of buses is not as much as other times, today is more than yesterday Tuesday. Apart from this, the movement of private vehicles, CNG-powered auto-rickshaws, rickshaws, motorcycles has increased.
Traffic police were not seen controlling the traffic on the streets of Dhaka. However, like yesterday, students were seen controlling the traffic system today. Students take turns at the signals. Ansar members are also with them in some places. Some members of the Islamic Movement Bangladesh are also seen to be responsible for various signals.
Apart from this, the students of different educational institutions have taken up cleaning work in different areas. They are sweeping the road, removing the garbage from the road.
Various government and private offices and educational institutions of Dhaka have been opened. However, the attendance of students in these educational institutions is low.

After Sheikh Hasina resigned and left the country on August 5, there is practically no government in the country. Since the attacks, police stations have been understaffed. Chaotic situation is going on in various places. Reports of robberies, attacks and looting are also being received in different areas. Apart from this, big markets and shops have not opened. Mainly grocery stores, neighborhood hotels, street markets including raw markets are running normally.
