Students of Uttara United College in the capital have written complaints of various irregularities to the Chairman of the Secondary Higher Secondary Board. It is written in the complaint that tests are being conducted without the permission of the board and 34,000 rupees are being forcefully taken from the students. The chairman of this college, Zakir Hussain Riaz, is bribing those who are protesting from the examination hall. Bristhi, a student of Uttara United College, said, “I went to take TC, then my colleagues and I were told to take 15,000 taka in 2 years. But now they are asking for 34 thousand rupees from everyone. Another student on the condition of anonymity said, “They are corrupting the education society, education is a great profession, the so-called teachers of one class are starting a business with the education of the society. We want to get rid of this.” A former teacher of Uttara United College said, 15 teachers including me will get about 17 lakh rupees from him but he is not giving us any money, instead he is threatening us. We have all filed a written complaint in Uttara East Police Station. In this regard, the Chairman of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar said, “We have not yet given any permission for the test. How are they conducting the test? We are looking at the matter as important. If there is any irregularity, we will definitely take action after investigation.
