Md. Zillur Rahman Jewel: There have been incidents of theft by mixing food with sedatives. Mother and son returned home after being admitted to the health complex in critical condition. In this regard, the police arrested two thieves with stolen goods.

The incident took place in the village of Ward No. 3 of Amkhala Union of Galachipa Upazila of Patuakhali. According to the sources, on the evening of November 3 at approximately six o’clock, the miscreants entered the house and covered their bodies with food mixed with sedatives. Mahinur Begum (mother) and ten-year-old child Azizul go to sleep after preparing dinner at night, like every day. The next day, Monday, November 4, until ten o’clock in the morning, when there was no response from the mother and son, the people of the house saw through the window, the mother and son lying unconscious. With the help of the locals, Galachipa was admitted to the government hospital and recovered after treatment. The miscreants stole his necklace, ear ornaments, cash and solar batteries from inside the house. He filed a complaint at the police station.

Mahatab Mridha (40), son of Delwar Mridha (40), son of Delwar Mridha of Atharo Gachia Uni, Amtali Upazila, at approximately 7:00 PM, was arrested by Bit Police while selling the stolen solar batteries in Amkhla market and during interrogation, he admitted the names of the persons involved in the incident. . Hearing the news of the thief’s arrest, the complainant Mahinur Begum’s daughter Seema appeared in the market and identified the items used by them. Police arrested Rasedul (34), son of Habib Mridha, from Boalia 9 Ward of Galachipa Sadar Union on November 5.

In this regard, the OC of Galachipa police station Md. Ashadur Rahman told the media that some isolated incidents are happening all over the country, if the Bangladesh police administration and the army are jointly trying to bring the law and order situation under control, the Amkhola incident should be taken seriously and stolen within 36 hours. We were able to arrest two thieves with goods and narcotic drugs and send them to jail under the existing law. Our campaign is also continuing on various issues.
