Bomb blast in Rajbari. Suman Sheikh (17), a speech-impaired teenager, was seriously injured. He is from Hariharpur village of Belgachi, Khanganj Union of Rajbari Sadar Upazila. Son of Halim Sheikh. He has been admitted to Rajbari Sadar Hospital.

On August 20th (Sunday) afternoon, a bomb exploded in a bamboo bush near the Belgachi station of Khanganj Union of Sadar Upazila. The speech-impaired person was seriously injured. At this time, the part of the wire or hand is cut off.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Md Ifite Kharuzzaman along with members of Thana Police went to Rajbari Sadar Chicken Hospital after receiving the news of the incident.

Suman Sheikh’s mother Maleka Begum said, “My son cannot speak since birth, my husband is paralyzed after a brain stroke and stays at home.” I went to visit my aunt’s house with my elder son’s wife, later I heard that my son Suman was hit by a bomb. Later I came to Rajbari Anspatal. Doctors have admitted him here. My son can’t speak. So I can’t say how it happened.

According to local sources, the speech-impaired md. Suman Sheikh used to wander. There was a habit of picking up various things lying on the road. It is believed that the explosion occurred due to curious movement after finding the abandoned bomb.

Medical Officer of Rajbari Sadar Hospital Dr. Saiful Islam said, five fingers of the boy’s hand were severed in the bomb blast. The situation is not so good, Dhaka’s trauma center needs better treatment. ‘

Rajbari  Sadar Police Station OC Md Shahadat Hossain said that the investigation of the incident is going on. It can be said by searching. Nothing can be said now. Legal action is pending.’
