3 drug dealers have been arrested along with 650 pieces and 86 pieces of crushed Yaba in a special operation to maintain law and order and anti-drug operation of Sonaimuri Police Station. The estimated value of the seized Yaba is estimated to be 4 lakh 53 thousand taka.
On Sunday morning, multiple police teams conducted anti-drug operations at various drug spots in Sonaimuri Police Station area based on secret information. During the operation, operations were conducted in the Bagadia Khaleda Zia Mohila Alia Madrasa area of ​​Bajra UP and the Dushimpara area of ​​the municipal area.
On the instructions of Noakhali Police Superintendent Md. Abdullah Al Faruk, under the overall supervision of Chatkhil Circle Assistant Police Superintendent Manish Das, OC Md. Morshed Alam led a raid on the Bagadia Mohila Alia Madrasa area and arrested Md. Shahid (30), son of Nur Mohammad, of Sonaimuri Municipality, Ward 05, Sonaimuri Paschim Para village, along with 50 pieces of Yaba.
In another raid led by SI Kausaruzzaman, Md. Rubel (28), son of Abdul Majid of Bipulshahar Patwari Bari in neighboring Comilla district, and Nasima Akhter Mina (20), daughter of Moja Mia of Baharchara village under Teknaf police station in Cox’s Bazar district, were arrested along with 600 pieces of half-broken and 86 pieces of crushed Yaba from the paved road adjacent to Gani Master Poll in Sonaimuri Municipality.
Sonaimuri Police Station OC Mohammad Morshed Alam said, “A case has been registered against the arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act. The arrested accused have been sent to the learned court. The operation to maintain law and order in the police station area, recover illegal drugs and weapons and arrest the accused with warrants is continuing.”
