Sonaimuri (Noakhali) Correspondent: Noakhali Sonaimuri Police Station Bajra Union Barahinagar Adhikari Bari Prakash Manohar Ali’s residence. A domestically made pipe gun has been recovered in a joint force operation. According to Sonaimuri Police Station sources, on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 12:45 pm, based on a secret information, under the overall guidance of Superintendent of Police Md. Abdullah Al Faruk, under the supervision of Assistant Superintendent of Police Chatkhil Circle Manish Das, Captain Mohammad Nabil in-charge Sonaimuri Army Camp, Officer in-charge, Sonaimuri Police Station Mohammad Morshed Alam, Police Inspector Mohammad Monir Hossain and SI Subhash Pal, deployed in the Mobile-71 team for law and order in the Sonaimuri Police Station area, an army expedition team conducted a raid and recovered a 30-inch long, locally made pipe gun with a wooden butt from inside the girl’s room on the east side of the living room, as shown by the owner of the house, Manohar Ali and his son, Saeed Anwar. According to local sources, for the past few days, the owner of the house, Manohar Ali, and his son, Saeed, have been seen moving around with some people from outside the area. Several people in a red Nano car from the Maijdi area often came to the house and held secret meetings. On the night of April 14, Saeed’s movement with a few outsiders to fill and occupy the disputed land came to the attention of the people of the area. That night, several trucks of soil were dumped in a truck on the disputed land. The recovered weapons may be the source of the work of occupying the disputed land, including expanding dominance in the area and attacking the opponent. Many people who did not want to be named said that some outsiders who came in a red Nano car had a secret meeting in his house on the morning of the incident. According to several local sources, for the past 15/16 years, Manohar Ali has been systematically purchasing various disputed lands in the area at the cost of everything. Currently, a joint secretary is his brother-in-law, so under his influence, he used the police and the administration of the police station to establish a forced occupation of the purchased land. Manohar Ali Gang’s people 2 years ago, disobeying the ban of the Noakhali District Senior Assistant Judge’s Court, forcibly occupied the land owned and recorded by their neighbor Faruk Bhuiyan Gang. Another local source said that his house has a CCTV camera installed. There is a rumor that he turns the CCTV camera on and off as needed. The real secret of the incident will be revealed if the footage of the CCTV camera is collected and investigated.
Confirming the incident, Sonaimuri Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Morshed Alam said, “The weapon was recovered from an abandoned girl’s house on the east side of Manohar Ali’s house in Barahinagar village, Ward No. 5 of Bajra Union, as shown by Manohar Ali and his son. Efforts are ongoing to identify the source of the weapon and the names and addresses of those involved in the incident, including identifying the real culprit.”
