 Honorable Member of Parliament SM Shahzada (MP) laid the foundation stone of 2430.00 meter chainage 72: meter long RCC girder bridge on Atkhali UZR Chandrail UNR road of No. 6 Dakua Union of Galachipa Upazila of Patuakhali. In the arrangement of local government engineering department, on Monday 1st May around 12 noon, UP Chairman Biswajagat Roy attended as the chief guest and inaugurated the long-awaited construction of the girder seed of the people of the area. Galachipa Upazila Executive Officer Md. Mohiuddin Al Helal, General Secretary of Upazila Ao’League Golam Mostafa Titu, Upazila Engineer (LGED) Md. Jahangir Alam, Thana Officers Incharge Shonit Kumar Gayen were present as special guests. In his speech, the chief guest said that the Awami League government is the government of development and continuous development is taking place throughout the country from village to city. Besides, Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working tirelessly to build a smart Bangladesh Under his leadership, construction of barrages on dangerous roads, bridge culverts and river embankment areas is going on to improve the quality of life of the people. Besides, the Awami League government has no alternative for the development of the state. Therefore, he called upon the public to strengthen the hands of the current government in the upcoming 12th parliamentary elections. The foundation stone ceremony was attended by leaders of various levels including the people of the area. Sirajul Islam Mukul, General Secretary of Dakua Union A’League conducted the program. Besides, various media workers were also present. The bridge is being constructed at a cost of 5 crore 92 lakh 24 thousand 1’165 taka 6’48 paisa under the implementation of the local government engineering directorate of the iron bridge reconstruction project in the southern part of the country.
