Shibganj Upazila Executive Officer Abul Hayat stood by the newspaper when the news was published in various newspapers and magazines with the title of ‘Old parents not living in the house of seven children’.  After talking to their children, executive officer Abul Hayat arranged for his maid to live at home. Last night (May 5) the decision was made by going to the house of childhood friend Aminul Islam in Kazipara village of Shibganj upazila and sitting with the children of Daharul Islam.  Also the wealth of the old man was with his sons. It has been decided that it will be taken back and kept in the bank in the name of old Daharul Islam.
It should be noted that in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj district, the children took the old man Daharul Islam (91) and mother Sherina Begum (84) out of their house after stealing their wealth. Earlier last (May 3) the children threw them out of their own house in Babupur village of Shyampur union of the upazila. On hearing this news, Abul Hayat of Shibganj Upazila (UNO) searched for them last (May 4) night. Shibganj Upazila Social Service Officer Kanchan Kumar Das, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Engineer Ariful Islam and others were present.
In this regard, Shibganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Abul Hayat said, the children of old Daharul Islam and mother Sherina Begum were discussed. It is said to take back the wealth that the old man had with his sons and keep it as a bank for the old man Daharul Islam. Children are given specific time. He said that he was asked to return the wealth to the old man within a certain period of time.
