Local residents of Meghadal area held a press conference on January 26, Sunday afternoon, in Meghadal village of Singabaruna Union of Sherpur district’s Srivardi upazila, accusing local businessmen and BNP leaders of false accusations against them.
In a written complaint, last Wednesday, January 22, in the late night of Srivardi Upazila Meghadal area, 4 persons named as journalists were roaming in the area with a car. Later it was learned that without finding anyone, they took the car and went towards Srivardi road.  On the day of the incident, Masud Bhai, a local businessman, came to know about the matter from his local area Meghadal after completing the necessary work in Mymensingh. Unfortunately we learned a day later that they were attacked on the night of the 22ndOn the 27th, Srivardi Police Station filed a false case of vandalism including drugs, smuggling and smuggling at least five BNP tested leaders and ordinary people. We were shocked to hear about the matter. Later, I found out that for several days, the leader of the press club was identified as the leader of the press club. The traders in the area were being made into illegal sand traders and demanding payment. After searching among them, I found out that Desh TV has removed journalist Majid from Desh TV on the charge of unethical activities, and another journalist who introduced Ripon has also removed him from Alokit Bangladesh on the same complaint.  They capitalize on the name of journalistMany people have been harassing for a long time. In the false case of such a journalist, the innocent people in the area are hanging the money by hanging the money. Besides, the incident was mentioned at 5:30 pm at the time of the incident, but they were 2 pm that night. He was present there for 5 minutes. Police have been freely wandering around the border area without telling the BGB.
Locals have expected justice through proper investigation in the incident.
