The final match of the SGMH Cricket Championship 2025 was held in a festive atmosphere with the garment workers working at the country’s leading ready-made garment exporter Standard MH Group. In the final match held in Purbachal on Friday morning, the team Sams Styling Wears Limited faced Sams Warriors, The Civil Engineers Oven Limited and The Civil Engineers Wash Limited, TCE WW Gladiators.
In the final match, TCE WW Gladiators defeated Sams Warriors by 5 wickets and became the champion. Batting first, Sams Warriors scored 136 runs for 9 wickets in the allotted overs. In reply, with 3 overs in hand, Imran Hossain’s match-best 78 runs helped TCE WW Gladiators reach the port of victory. Mohammad Asif was adjudged the best player of the tournament. Royal Mauna team won the Fair Play Trophy as the most disciplined team of the tournament.
Standard MH Group Managing Director Engineer A, K, M Mosharraf Hussain, Deputy Managing Director Hasnat Mosharraf, Directors Hosne Ara Begum, Hasib Mosharraf, Fahim Mosharraf and H, T, M Quader Newaz presented the awards to the champion and runner-up teams.
The speakers said that the workers of the garment industry are constantly strengthening the country’s economy with their talent and labor. Standard MH Group always encourages the workers. In addition, various other events including sports, picnics and cultural programs are regularly being held to enhance cordial relations with the workers.
