Hafizur Rahman and Sadar Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Rahmat Ali, representative of the Civil Surgeon, were present as discussants.

The seminar was attended by 50 representatives from different levels of society, including mosque imams and priests.

During the presentation of the main article, Safe Food Officer Md. Asifur Rahman said, reducing the use of pesticides and insecticides in vegetables or adhering to a waiting period of 7-15 days before bringing them to the market after use; being careful in using antibiotic hormones in cattle, chicken, and fish farming; consuming pure drinking water; avoiding frying in burnt oil; avoiding selling food products on written paper, being careful about consuming food that produces acrylamide; being careful when consuming burnt and scorched food; mycotoxins in nuts and corn; cooking utensils, avoiding excess salted food or consuming excess salt, avoiding the use of non-food grade colors and fragrances (rose water, keora water) were discussed and social and religious leaders were called upon to make food traders and consumers aware of this and called upon them to call 16155 to file a complaint if unsafe food production is observed.

Rajbari Sadar Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Rahmat Ali said, there is no alternative to consuming safe food to ensure the good health of the people of the country. We usually use market salt which is iodized but if the salt is kept in an open container, the iodine evaporates from it, so it should be kept with a lid and shops that use non-iodized salt should be instructed to use iodized salt because iodine is necessary for us to produce important thyroid hormones. He urged everyone to be aware of consuming safe food and to make everyone around them aware.

Islamic Foundation Deputy Director S. M. Hafizur Rahman said, “In a society, socially and religiously important individuals have an influence on the society. We try our best to follow the restrictions of religion and respect religious leaders and follow their advice. Let the knowledge gained from today’s seminar spread to all consumers in the district through you, and food businessmen should be made aware by presenting the religious importance of producing and selling safe food. We hope that together we can ensure safe food for everyone.”
