Saudi Arabia has ranked second globally in terms of tourist arrivals in the first seven months of 2023.
Compared to the same period in 2019, tourism in the country increased by 58 percent at the end of July this year.  The data was confirmed last month by the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) World Tourism Barometer.
A grand program was organized on the occasion of World Tourism Day on September 27 and 28 in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.  The steps that the country promised to take to develop the tourism sector have been implemented slowly.  As a result, the number of tourists from different countries of the world has increased in Saudi Arabia.  Saudi Tourism Minister Ahmed Al-Khatib noted that this achievement has further strengthened the status of Saudi Arabia in the development of the global tourism industry.
The city of Jeddah on the shores of the Red Sea is home to people from virtually all countries.  As a result, the city is culturally diverse.  This port city on the shores of the Red Sea was the capital of Saudi Arabia until 1982.
In addition, the beauty of the Asir mountains covered with green juniper trees in the southwestern part of Saudi Arabia is very diverse.  About 500,000 Hamdriaz baboons live in this mountain forest.  Also there are hornbills, eagles and blue agamid chameleons.
There is a cable car to go up the hill.  There are many beautiful villages in the valleys of the mountains.  From there, the beauty of Asir hill slopes is breathtaking.
The decision of the Saudi Arabian authorities to open up the country to foreign tourists has created a lot of excitement in the travel and tourism business around the world.  Saudi Arabia’s diverse natural beauty has been able to attract tourists from around the world.  The country’s Asir Mountains, Jeddah’s heritage buildings, deserts, Madain Saleh pre-Islamic civilization monuments, breathtaking oases etc. are at the center of tourist attraction.
