There is a power struggle between the military and paramilitary forces going on across Sudan. In such a situation, several countries, including Saudi Arabia, are evacuating their embassy staff and citizens from Sudan.
 In addition to their citizens, Saudi Arabia has evacuated some people from Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan from Sudan. So far, Saudi Arabia has evacuated a total of 157 citizens from Khartoum.
 Among them, 91 are Saudi nationals. The remaining 66 are Bangladeshi, Indian, Pakistani and other nationals. However, earlier the Indian Foreign Minister sought Saudi Arabia’s help to bring Indians from Sudan.
 In the last few days, the two forces have declared a cease-fire, but neither side has accepted it. Even the three-day ceasefire that started last Friday on the occasion of Eid was not observed. According to the World Health Organization, so far more than four hundred people have lost their lives and tens of thousands have been injured. However, the death toll is believed to be higher.
 The United Nations says that more than 20,000 people, most of whom are women and children, have left the city to seek safe shelter.
