On Thursday, January 23, 2025, the YWCA organized the Rise Up Project Advocacy Seminar from 11 am to 2 pm at the NDF Auditorium Hall.
The day-long Rise Up Project Advocacy Seminar was presided over by YWCA of Dinajpur General Secretary Poppy Florence Lakkar and Dinajpur City Social Service Office Officer Md. Mainul Islam was the chief guest. Among the other guests present were YWCA of Bangladesh Senior Program Officer Mukta Biswas, Rise Up Project Dinajpur Steering Committee President Maya Mondal, FPAB District Officer Md. Shahinur Islam Shahin, Program Officer of One Stop Crime Cell Dinajpur Sabiha Binte Anwar, Director of Bahnishikha Women’s Development Organization Christina Lovely Das, Youth Women Lead of OWCA of Bangladesh and Rise Up Christina Dia Bala, Information Service Officer Umme Kulsoom, Tara Mela and FPAB member Jyoti Ghosh, Anamika Singh Roy, Youth Convener of YWCA of Dinajpur Anna Madhuri Tigya, Youth Lead of YWCA Bangladesh Alice Sajjan. Also held at the Rise Up event; The project’s advocacy seminar was attended by YWCA of Dinajpur’s youth member Priyanka Aind, Rise Up project members Suravi Mardi, Jaya Moni, Sanjida Akhter Barsha and other members of YWC of Dinajpur and Rise Up Project Dinajpur.
The day-long advocacy seminar consisted of an introductory meeting in the first phase, welcoming the guests with floral greetings and dance, a video report of the Rise Up program in the second phase, information on various topics of the Sharing Global Rise Up program, experience sharing, panel discussions, open discussions, and finally, answers to various questions and information taken from the participants on the topics of the advocacy seminar.
