There will be an engineering university in Sylhet. Dhaka-Sylhet 6 lane work has started. Sylhet-Sunamganj road will be upgraded to 4 lanes. Moulvibazar will also have a university and a medical university. Sheikh Hasina wants the balanced development of the entire country. The Planning Minister said these things in response to the civic reception given by the Sylhet City Corporation on Wednesday (November 8) evening. He said, now is the time of examination in front of the nation. We have to choose our path. Whether we can continue to protect self-esteem like the developed world or not is now being tested. It is up to you to decide how appropriate or inappropriate the acts of personal vendetta by some people for the sake of power are. In the reception held under the chairmanship of Sylhet City Corporation Mayor Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury, the Minister of Planning also said that before Sheikh Hasina, there were no 80 thousand villages in the development plan of the country. He was the first to implement it. One of his projects is village will be city. For the first time in this region, Sheikh Hasina has delivered electricity to villages. He provides free treatment and medicine through community clinic for the health care of the poor people of the village. With his inspiration, I have been able to build Science and Technology University, 500-bed Hospital, Textile University in Howre, Sunamganj. We are making flyover road from Biswambharpur to Netrakona at a cost of Tk 4000 crore. Arrangements have been made to go to Dhaka by car from lower areas like Shalla throughout the year. Raniganj bridge has been completed. Mayor Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury said in the president’s speech that Planning Minister MA Mannan is the child of Greater Sylhet. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, he is moving the country forward on the highway of development. He is our protector. His hand of cooperation in the development of Sylhet must be extended further. This is our belief. President of Sylhet Metropolitan Awami League Birmuktijoddha Masuk Uddin Ahmed spoke as a special guest at the reception held at Nagar Bhavan premises. Sisik Mayor and Councilors presented certificates, flowers and mementos to the honored guests. Sylhet’s RTM Al Kabir Technical University VC Professor Dr. Abu Nasser Zafar Ullah, Sylhet District Freedom Fighters Unit Former Commander Subrata Chakraborty Jewel, Sylhet District Bar Public Prosecutor and Awami League Vice President Advocate Nizam Uddin, Sylhet Press Club President Iqbal Siddiqui, Sylhet District Press Club President Hasina Begum Chowdhury, Sylhet Women’s Chamber President Swarnlata judgment Taufiq Baks Lipon, Councilor of 26th Ward of Sylhet City Corporation, who has been elected many times, gave a welcome speech. Sylhet Metropolitan Awami League President Masuk Uddin Ahmed and Mayor Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury welcomed the guest of honor to the Planning Minister with bouquets of flowers. Maulana Moinul Islam recited from the Holy Quran at the beginning of the program. Gita was recited by Jyotish Chakraborty, tax branch officer of Sisik. Tripitaka and Bible were read by Srimat Mahanam Bhikshu and Reverend Philip Samaddar. Rajatkanti Gupta and Jannatul Naznin Asha, President of Combined Theater Council Sylhet conducted the program.
