On the occasion of World River Day, Galachipa Upazila Anchor Committee organized a rally on Wednesday 25 September around 3 pm to increase public awareness and increase awareness of coastal Ramnabad river. Nasim Reze said, river and environment organization Anchor has been working on social public awareness on river pollution, river encroachment issues in the whole country for river safety. In this regard, we welcome and wish the World River Day organized by Anchor Committee of Galachipa Upazila. Apart from this, the current government has taken comprehensive programs on river protection, river cleaning, river encroachment. Anchor organization will be fully supported in river occupation, protection and ensuring river safety. However, he urged us all to come forward to protect the river.

Meanwhile, through a press release, the founding president of Anchor Bangladesh organization and environmentalist Suman Sams, Patuakhali Galachipa Upazila Branch Anchor Committee applauded the Ramnabad river tour on the occasion of the World River Day, and the invited chief guest invited all the guests including special guests to come forward to protect the river. .

Note that every year the day is celebrated on the fourth Sunday of September, but due to natural calamities, various organizations are celebrating the World River Day according to their convenience. This year’s theme is ‘Rites of River’. Like other countries of the world, the day is being celebrated in Bangladesh with various events. Various programs are being organized at public and private level.
