 In view of the motto “Safe fish rich country, smart Bangladesh” “On the occasion of National Fisheries Week-2023 celebration, opening ceremony, discussion meeting, prize distribution and rally were held in Manda Upazila.
On Tuesday morning, after the rally at the Upazila Parishad square, this discussion meeting and prize distribution ceremony was completed in the meeting room. Mr. Muha Imaz Uddin Pramanik (MP) spoke through telecast as the chief guest in the discussion organized under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer Mosa Laila Anjuman Banu and moderated by Upazila Senior Officer Dipankar Pal.
Among others, Mahbuba Siddika Ruma Upazila Vice Chairman, Gautam Kumar Mahant Upazila Vice Chairman, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Zakir Munsi, Officer In Charge (OC) Mozammel Haque Kazi, Shah Alam Sekh Secondary Education Officer, Animal Resources Officer Nuruzzaman, Freedom Fighter Commander Afsar Ali, Vir Muktijodha Ad Abdul Mannan etc. spoke in the discussion meeting.
Crests were awarded to the best three fish farmers among the farmers. Later, different species of fish fry were released in the pond adjacent to the council.
