A class 1 schoolgirl named Jui (7) died after being hit by a battery operated auto bike in Rajbari’s Baliakandi.
The accident took place on the road in front of Padmadi Chandana Guchchgram Government Primary School around 12 noon on Wednesday (July 11).
The deceased Jui Padmadi Chandana is a first class student of Guchgram Yogendra Nath Som Government Primary School. She is the granddaughter of Abed Ali Sheikh and daughter of China Khatun of Padmadi Dangapara village of Nawabpur union of Baliakandi upazila of the district.
Local Induradi High School President Neta MA Quddus also said that the school girl Jui studies from her various houses. He was run over by a battery-powered autobike while crossing the road after school break. He died on the spot. Thana police came to the spot.
Officer in-charge (OC) of Rajbari’s Baliakandi police station, Md. Alamgir Hossain said, Jasmine died in an auto accident on her way home from school. As there was no complaint from their family, Jui’s mother filed a written request and her body was handed over to the family without post-mortem.
