Rajapur in two residential houses burnt to ashes in terrible fire

Two residential houses have been destroyed in Madhya Manoharpur area of ​​Rajapur upazila of Jhalkathi. The affected family claimed that the loss was around 20 lakh rupees. This incident happened around 7:30 pm on Tuesday. The affected family and locals said that due to an electrical short circuit, the fire broke out in Nishikant’s son Gautam’s residence. Within moments, the fire spread to the residence of Anant Shikder’s son Baraiya College assistant professor Asim Shikder. After informing the fire service station, 3 units of fire service arrived at the spot and started working, but by that time two houses were burnt to ashes along with the goods in the residence. 4 people including one member of fire service named Arif were injured while bringing the fire under control.

Station Officer of Rajapur Fire Service Abdul Khalek said, 3 units of Rajapur and Kaukhali managed to bring the fire under control after trying for about 1 hour. However, due to water shortage, the fire had to be brought under control. The fire is believed to have started from an electrical short circuit.
