Kanjan Kanti Chakraborty : Disaster Preparedness Day celebrated in Rajapur Keeping in mind the theme ‘Disaster Forecasting, Preparedness Saves Lives’, a fire awareness exercise was held in Rajapur, Jhalakathi on the occasion of National Disaster Preparedness Day-2025.
The exercise was organized by the Upazila Administration and Disaster Management Department at around 10 am on Monday at the upazila premises under the leadership of Abdul Khalek, Station Officer-in-Charge of the Fire Service and Civil Defense Rajapur Unit.
Disasters cause a huge loss of life and property in the country every year. No method has yet been invented to eliminate natural disasters, but through extensive preparation, it is possible to keep the damage to a minimum.
Rajapur Upazila Executive Officer Rahul Chanda spoke as the chief guest, chaired by Rajapur Upazila Project Implementation Officer Md. Shafiqul Islam.
