Kanjan Kanti Chakraborty : 1500 pieces of coconut trees have been distributed and planted in some places including 25 educational institutions of the upazila under the initiative of Pubali Bank in Rajapur of Jhalkathi. On Tuesday afternoon, the distribution ceremony was inaugurated by planting coconut trees in the collection hall of poet Jibananand on the bank of Dhansindi river. Ruhul Amin, Deputy General Manager of Pubali Bank and Head of Barisal Region, was present as the Chief Guest and UNO Rahul Chand as the President. Assistant Commissioner Bhumi Hasan Mohammad Shoaib, OC Ismail Hossain, President of Rajapur Journalist Club Rahim Reza and Upazila Manager Mrinal Kanti Das of Pubali Bank were present at this time. Later, 2 ACs were given to Upazila Kalyan Club as a gift from Pubali Bank.
