 Three and a half hours after the train accident in Comilla’s Nangalkot, rail communication between Chittagong and Dhaka and Sylhet has been normalized. On Sunday (April 16), trains started running at around 10 pm. Earlier, six carriages of the Sonar Bangla Express derailed when the freight train standing at the station was hit at around 7:30 in the evening. Since then rail communication on Dhaka-Chittagong route was closed. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Laksam Railway Police Station Jasim Uddin Khandaker confirmed the matter to reporters. He said that the accident happened around 7:30 in the evening. Since then rail communication on Dhaka-Chittagong route was closed. After three and a half hours of effort, train movement was normalized by removing the carriages through alternative lines. Rescue work is still going on. Note that there is a lot of damage in this accident, said the locals
