RAB-11 has arrested 7 juvenile gang members along with the team leader from Dharmapur railway station area under Kotyali Model Thana of Comilla district.
Deputy Director of RAB-11, CPC-2 Comilla confirmed this information in a press release signed by Lt. Commander Mahmudul Hasan on Thursday (July 4) afternoon.
He said that yesterday (July 3) a team of RAB-11, CPC-2 conducted an operation in Dharmapur area under Kotyali Model Police Station of Comilla district based on secret information.
In the operation, 7 juvenile gang members were arrested along with indigenous weapons. Those arrested are Tajul Islam Sumon (19), Md Masud (17), Md Rimon (17), Fahim Hossain Sifat (15), Taibur Rahman Tuhin (17), Abdul Quader Jilani (16), Arpan Das (15). (Their full identities have not been released due to juvenile delinquency.)
4 axes, 1 chapati and 3 mobiles were recovered from them.
According to RAB, in the initial investigation, the arrested accused and Shi Shuder involved in conflict with the law were found to be active members of Kishore gang.
They have been carrying out terrorist activities in the area by using indigenous weapons to terrorize the common people of the area. They also admitted that they have been creating terror through intimidation including robbing businesses and public vehicles and extorting money.
Legal action has been taken against the arrested accused and children involved in conflict with the law at Kotyali Model Police Station of Comilla District.
