RAB-10 has arrested Alif, one absconding accused of sensational Shariful murder in Rangpur’s Pirganj

Since its inception, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has been playing a leading role in bringing all types of criminals under the law to maintain the law and order situation in the country. RAB has been conducting regular operations to arrest militants, terrorists, organized criminals, robbers, drug dealers and fugitive accused in various cases including murder, kidnapping. RAB has already been able to gain the public’s trust in crime control with the continuation of intelligence surveillance and raiding activities. In continuation of this, yesterday on 02 July 2023 A.D. based on secret information, an raiding team of RAB-10 conducted an operation in the area of Mirpur Shopping Center Complex under Mirpur Model Police Station of the capital Dhaka. On 22/06/2023, the sensational shariful took place in Barabila Suez Gate area of Pirganj Municipality of Rangpur District. In connection with the murder, the Pirganj police station arrested Md. Alif (19), one of the fugitive accused in the registered murder case, father- deceased Golam Mostafa, Sang- Osmanpur Khiarpara (Godown intersection), police station- Pirganj, district- Rangpur. Meanwhile, 01 mobile phone was recovered from him. During preliminary interrogation, the arrested accused confessed his involvement in the said incident. He is said to have been hiding in different areas of the capital since the incident. The arrested accused has been handed over to the concerned police station.
