Since its inception, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has been playing a leading role in bringing all types of criminals under the law to maintain the overall law and order situation in the country. RAB has been conducting regular operations against militants, terrorists, organized criminals, robbers, drug dealers and illegal arms holders.
In continuation of this, today 28th December 2023 AD at approximately 0200 hours, an raiding party of RAB-10 conducted an operation in Narayanpur area under Pangsha police station of Rajbari district based on secret information and arrested 01 illegal arms holders. The arrested person’s name is Md Osman Sheikh (33), father Md Razzak Sheikh, Sang-Pangsha Chandpur, Thana-Pangsha Model, District-Rajbari. Meanwhile, 01 domestically made one shooter and 02 short gun cartridge(s) were recovered from him.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the arrested person is an illegal holder. It is known that he has been involved in various illegal activities and various activities for dishonest purposes including drug trade in Rajbari and surrounding areas for quite some time.
A case under the Arms Act was filed against the arrested person: handed over to the concerned police station.
