RAB-10 arrested 02 drug dealer with 49kg ganja from Capital

 Since its inception, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has been playing a leading role in bringing all types of criminals under the law to maintain the overall law and order situation in the country. RAB has been conducting regular operations against militants, terrorists, organized criminals, armed criminals, robbers and narcotics. RAB has continued its anti-narcotics campaign to eradicate drugs with the slogan “Let’s go to war, against drugs”. In continuation of this, yesterday on April 03, 2023 AD, a raiding team of RAB-10 conducted an operation in Rayerbagh area under Jatrabari police station of the capital Dhaka and seized 02 drugs including 49 kg of ganja worth approximately Tk 14,70,000/- (fourteen lakhs and seventy thousand). The businessman was arrested. Name of arrested persons 1. Md Shakeel Mia (26) and 2. It is known as Md Yusuf (22). Meanwhile, 01 truck used for transporting drugs and 01 mobile phone and cash- 2,540/- (two thousand five hundred and forty) taka were recovered from them. Preliminary investigation revealed that the arrested persons are professional drug dealers. For quite some time, they have been collecting cannabis and other drugs from different border areas of the country by truck and supplying them to different areas of the country including the capital. A drug case has been registered against the arrested persons in the concerned police station.
