RAB-10 arrested 01 drug dealer with 2585 pieces of Yaba from Demra area of capital

Since its inception, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has been playing a leading role in bringing all types of criminals under the law to maintain the overall law and order situation in the country. RAB has been conducting regular operations against militants, terrorists, organized criminals, armed criminals, robbers and narcotics. RAB has continued its anti-narcotics campaign to eradicate drugs with the slogan “Let’s go to war, against drugs”. In continuation of this yesterday, on April 19, 2023 AD, an expeditionary team of RAB-10 conducted an operation in Matuail area under Demra police station of the capital Dhaka on the basis of secret information and seized approximately 7,75,500/- (seven lakhs seventy five thousand five hundred) worth of Taka 2,585 (two 1 thousand five hundred and eighty five) arrested 01 drug dealer with piece yaba tablets. The name of the arrested person is known as Md Hanif (33). Meanwhile, 01 mobile phone and cash-6,410/- (six thousand four hundred ten) were recovered from him. Preliminary investigation revealed that the arrested person is a professional drug dealer. He had been collecting Yaba tablets and other narcotics from various border areas of the country for quite some time and supplying them to various surrounding areas including Demra. A drug case has been registered against the arrested person in the concerned police station.
